The rapid development of renewable energy in Ukraine occurred in the second half of the 2010s. The increase in the number and size of solar power plants (SPPs), the variety of inverters and other additional equipment in the process of operation of SPPs increase the need and understanding that the basic inverter control tools supplied by manufacturers are not sufficient for full control of SPPs. If the remote monitoring systems of inverters of top manufacturers still provide the possibility of more or less convenient diagnostics and control of inverters, then the systems of the second echelon practically do not develop them. Such systems do not work in the absence of the Internet.

For medium- and large-size SPPs, classic local SCADA is a necessity. The costs of its implementation are recouped in the first weeks and months of operation.

We chose SCADA Zenon by Copa-Data as the basic platform for creating our applications.
