The dispatching system for geographically distributed solar power stations is built on the Zenon SCADA platform.

One of the main advantages over ready-made systems from equipment manufacturers is the ability to simultaneously control and monitor all available equipment: inverters, analyzers, controllers, relay protection, switches, power meters, and weather stations.

The system consists of individual solar power station projects united under one global project, performing functions of centralized control, calculation of key metrics, event and alarm logging, visualization of graphs, and more. Each station has its own distinct equipment types, templates, settings, and operational algorithms, which can be modified independently of other stations.

When using typical power plant design, which is often the case within a single organization, adding another station typically involves copying an existing project and making minor adjustments to settings. This allows for the quick addition of a new power plant to the SCADA within hours.

Features

  • Dashboards for visualizing key station metrics
  • Overall stations management dashboard
  • Logging of alarms and events
  • Historian
  • Trends

Every power plant project contain:

  • Interactive diagram with a map of inverters
  • Single Line Diagram (SLD)
  • Detailed inverter information panel: power, AC and DC currents, voltages, amount of generated electrical energy, serial number, decoding of status and error registers.
  • Control window for both the entire station and individual sections or substations
  • Settings window

Additionally has been implemented IT/OT infrastructure, remote connections, collection, storage, analysis, and visualization of data related to the operation of each inverter, photovoltaic power plant and network.
